Room #: 127
My name is Kevin Tracey, and I am the seventh/ eighth grade Language Arts teacher here at Thomas Jefferson Elementary/Middle School.
I attended Morgan State University to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After that, I attended Dakota Wesleyan University and earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Policy and Administration. Currently, I am working on earning a doctoral degree in Education Policy at Drexel University.
I have worked for a number of Baltimore City Schools as a behavior specialist, para educator, media specialist, and after school director within the past ten years. Which provided me skills to connect with the whole student. I have a passion for student success and believe I must prepare all students to be college and career ready, as well as life after school. I love what I do, and I take educating students seriously. I approach everyday with this mindset:
Tomorrow is not promised, but today we can make a change, and with that change we may shine tomorrow. To shine tomorrow we must succeed today. With a positive ATTITUDE, 100 percent success is yours. The key to defining the successful student is to open the door to students with character and to look at who they are- not where they’ve been. -Kevin Tracey
P.S. I Rep Brooklyn all day!!!!!!!!
