Hello, my name is Kaitlynn Dorman and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Thomas Jefferson Elementary/Middle School. I have taught in PG County starting in 2015 and in 2019, I accepted a position in Baltimore City Public Schools. I grew up in Harford County, Maryland in a very rural area and recently moved to Baltimore County. I went to Stevenson University and received my bachelor's degree for early childhood education and graduated in 2015. I have also received my Master's degree in Bowie State University for Special Education.
I am so excited to help nurture your little ones grow. Social emotional and physical growth is just as important as academic growth and I will strive to teach the whole child. I believe that every child is able to learn; they just need to be taught in a different way just like anyone else. I believe in treating a child the way I would personally want my child to be treated by someone else and I take their education extremely serious. I truly want the best for my students and will strive to get to that best for every child. Children are our future and we need to protect our children at all costs.
